Fourteen middle and high school ensembles performed while judges critiqued their performances. Items donated to this event by Musicorp, SABIAN, Evans, Pearl, and Innovative Percussion, were given to lucky winners of drawings throughout the day. “Musicorp strives to use our musical resources to assist the community and especially to support music education,” said Dan Mahoney, Musicorp President.

There was tremendous support from parents and directors, as the high school kids gained invaluable performance experience and productive interaction with other kids and adults with the same interests. Musicorp representative and percussion festival attendee, Mike Summers from Musicorp remarked, “This event was a reminder for me of why the music business is a calling, not just a vocation.”
