Musicorp Judges Battle of the Bands Contest in Anaheim, California
Charleston, SC, June 29, 2007 – Musicorp, a leading national distributor of musical instruments, accessories and lighting products, helped judge a battle of the bands contest presented by Music & Arts, a music retail store based in Cypress, California. The battle of the bands contest was entitled O.C.’s Rising Star Competition and was held at William Cook Theater in Anaheim, California on May 19th, 2007.
Dan Murdy, a Musicorp representative, helped judge each of the eleven bands that competed and presented the first place trophy to the overall winners of the competition. In addition to judging the competition, Musicorp also had a display booth set up for contest attendees to sample some of Musicorp’s musical offerings including Sierra guitars and Sabian cymbals.
The eleven bands that competed consisted of Music and Arts student musicians, ranging from ten to fifty-two years of age. Over one thousand people attended, from friends and family, to other Music & Arts students.
“We always strive to seek avenues to support music education and become more involved in the music community,” said Dan Mahoney, Musicorp President.
