Charleston, SC, April 12, 2010– Musicorp, a leading distributor and manufacturer of musical instruments, lighting products and accessories, is proud to announce the donation of a guitar to Charleston Animal Society’s 6th Annual “A Furry Affair”. “A Furry Affair” is a silent auction held each year to help provide food, shelter and medical care to more than 11,000 homeless animals in the Lowcountry. This year the event takes place at the Citadel’s Holiday Alumni Center on June 19, 2010.

After receiving the guitar, Allison Bolduc, Associate Director of Development for the Charleston Animal Society remarked, “Our thanks go to Musicorp for their generous contribution for our fundraising event. You are helping us make “The 6th Annual Furry Affair” a huge success! Thank you for your in-kind donation of a guitar to the Charleston Animal Society. This is the first musical instrument we have ever had donated for our auction, and we are very excited that Musicorp made it happen! Because of their generosity, as well as that of many other generous supporters, this event is our biggest fundraiser of the year.” This event is also designed to increase awareness of the CAS’s 130 year history and the role it plays in the community, as well as raising much-needed funds to support the care of homeless animals in our shelter.

“We are proud to be able to donate and support local causes, such as Charleston Animal Society’s “A Furry Affair”,” stated Catherine Polk, Musicorp Director of Marketing.
